On the night of September 8th, hundreds of Christians from Ankawa, a suburb of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) capital Erbil attended the unveiling of the new statue. Mounted on a 13-meter-tall pole, it is the highest statue of the Madonna in all of Iraq.
