Barda Qaraman (the Rock of the Hero)Sulaymaniyah south of Kurdistan

The site is 35 Km west of Sulaimani on the Sulaimani – Kirkuk high way. During the British invasion to Iraq, King Mahmood resisted the British troops behind the mentioned Rock defending the Kingdom of Kurdistan. Today the site is open for tourists.
